North Burnett Floodway Combined Package

Project Scope

SCS were engaged by North Burnett Regional Council to undertake the demolition and construction of 7 floodways impacted by the flooding in the region in July 2022. Works included demolition of existing floodways and construction of new concrete floodways, creek stabilisation and scour protection, earthworks, culverts, headwalls and roadworks. Being on live roads we were required to construct temporary side tracks around the works, ensuring all traffic was maintained during the works. The floodway works required Waterway Barrier Works permits, as well as management of flow through the sites during works.
