RESISTANCE AND RECOVERY
SCS were engaged by Noosa Council to complete landslip remediations at Site 1 and 3 in the Noosa hinterland. Works included: 75 Cast in-situ concrete piles; 100m of pile capping; 100m of shotcrete retaining wall; Earthworks and retaining; Scour rock protection; Road rehabilitation and reinstatement. Site 3 required a 400m side track constructed through nearby bush and private property to ensure road access to the local community was maintained. A full temporary shoring design was also required due to the geological and geotechnical conditions at Site 3 including temporary piling and steel plates to create a safe access for works. Both sites were restricted with site access requiring pre planning and specialist piling machines to complete the works safely. Site 1 works were completed under live HV electrical services, requiring engagement and management through Energex and approved Energex spotter.
