Commissioners Flat Road Upgrade

Project Scope

SCS were engaged by Sunshine Coast Council for the upgrade of Commissioners Flat Road, Peachester. Works were required to be completed in separate stages to ensure that traffic was maintained through the work zone. Our works included clearing and tree removal, demolition of existing road and culvert crossing, earthworks, roadworks, drainage culverts and end structures and ecological rehabilitation. Clean water diversions were required of the existing waterway through the site whilst culvert and end structures were completed. Through construction poor material was encountered in the roadway that required significant removal and replacement and revised pavement designs. SCS utilised their experience to assist in the re-design which resulted in a more efficient outcome for council with reduced construction delays.
