Sunshine Coast Council QRA Drainage Works

Project Scope

Funded by Federal and state government Disaster Recovery funding, SCS were engaged by Sunshine Coast Council for the remediation of over 1200 drainage sites impacted by the 2022 floods. Scope of works included; Bulk Fill, Clear mixed debris and remove from site, Bulk Excavation, Repair with flowable concrete, Drainage structure repairs, Desilt drainage structure, Rock protection works, Kerbing, Drainage pipes and headwalls. The program required multiple crews working concurrently. With up to 5 crews working simultaneously each day, we completed around 15 sites a day, the 1200 sites were completed in just over 4 months. The majority of sites were on live roads, requiring significant traffic control to manage these crews.
