Project Scope

SCS were engaged for the removal and reconstruction of 2 culvert crossings damaged due to flooding. Two large culvert road crossings were damaged on a rural road Golden Gully Road, Kin Kin. Works were undertaken within active waterways, requiring diversions and damming during works. Sidetracks were constructed around the work zones and demolition of the existing drainage and concrete floodways were undertaken. Earthworks, including embankment to new roadway levels and box out to culvert base slabs required. Under each base slab we installed 300mm of rock mattress. Concrete works included base slabs, batter, end structures and concrete road and floodways. Culverts were double barrel 2100 x 900 concrete culverts. Finishing works included gravel road re-construction on either side of the new floodways.
