Project Scope

As the principal contractor, SCS were engaged for the construction of a new carpark including 90 new parking bays requiring earthworks, pavement construction (permeable pavers), road works, GPT installation, stormwater drainage, retaining walls and services. The carpark is situated on the Caloundra Foreshore, with the beach and amenities on one side and a café strip on the other side. There was a requirement to maintain both vehicle and pedestrian traffic through the works to limit disruption to the local community. Works were completed, whilst maintaining access to all beachgoers and at the same time managing a significant construction project requiring daily heavy vehicle plant movements.
